Picked up a steel '94 S-works the other day
stripping it out to check everything and clean it up - looks like it's been sitting in a shed for years, cobwebs and dust - BB came out easy but there's a bit of surface rust on the shell, so I'm wondering what I can buy locally to spray or put into the chain/seat stays to treat and prevent any corrosion that might be in there? WD40 might be ok, but don't think this will be ideal, need something thicker maybe and would prefer something that might treat it too?
Any ideas or recommendations, don't really want to mail order something as I'd like to sort it out this weekend, anything you can get from local b&q, motor factors, etc?
Cheers :?:
