You must add about a kilo in weight by the time you've finished that lot!

Ah! Open a window...I always forget to do that.

If using Waxoyl (speaking as a Land Rover enthusiast who gets through gallons of the stuff! ) you need to use a few tricks. Use the clear Waxoyl. Make sure the frame is nice and warm - leave it in the sun or somewhere warm inside. Thin the Waxoyl by 20% or so with white spirit and stand the container of thinned Waxoyl in a bucket of boiling hot water for 15 minutes or so. Find an area that does not matter getting messy or cover with a LOT of newspaper. Pour in the nice runny Waxoyl and turn the frame every which way repeating as necessary until all inner tubes are coated. Make sure that all the vent holes are clear after to let any moisture out that does get in. Leave the frame to dry somewhere airy for a few days, more if possible.

All this has to be done after a re-paint (if baked) of course not before.

Too much hassle and options!

I will just apply a light coating of SAS lube (like WD40/GT85).

As for the Klein option been there and done that, but I intend to ride the bikes not pamper in cotton wool LOL....

Maybe, except it won't work!

WD40 or GT85 has it's uses but as a decent long-term (or even short)rust-preventative product it is useless.

Hi,

Not expecting much to be done by the SAS which is meant to contain rust inhibiting stuff LOL, but its only cheap lube to help fight any moisture.
As one frame is fine anyway (the Fat), and not going to be used in winter by me, and the other is now not going to be getting refurbished as it's only a hack/get to work bike I feel it's a little to much effort for now.

to save a lot of messing get some acf50 or corrosion block as mentioned erlier it is 100% the best product to use is easy to aply and dosnt stop working after 10 mins it really is the best product ive ever used
