Not a hope of going to gigs any more... may have to take a peek at the DVD or something.. ;)

They were incredible live...

I can recommend the latest Rush DVD, Beyond the lighted stage, which tells the story behind the bands career. Fascinating stuff most of which I had no idea about. The first gig, John Rutseys time with the band, getting a US recording contract and so on....

Haven't seen them since the Roll the Bones Tour, seemed like it was all downhill after that. But will be going to this, oh yes.

Neil took a few years off after his wife and daughter died. He's now remarried, lives in Cali, and rides his BMW GS to all the NA shows. There were always sightings of him on his touring bicycle between his house in Beamsville and their studio in Toronto back before the tragedies.

If you're a Rush fan, I highly recommend picking these up. Their new documentary about the history of the band Rush - Beyond the Lighted Stage is worth seeing as well..

Yo Rob, if you want to chum along with me to see them at the SECC? ... so far, its myself, a pal and his unfortunate wee laddie.

Pre-sale scrum was a laugh. The centre block sold out in seconds I ended up with 3 tickets on the 8th row from the stage on Geddys side. Decided in the end to go to the Birmingham gig as it is on a Sunday which works out better for everyone. Unless someone has a spare O2 front row ticket I may be tempted to go again.

Tickets are being sold through www.ticketline.co.uk general release is on Friday. Planet Rock has a pre-sale starting tomorrow and so does 02 for it customers.

Anyone been to any dates on this tour yet? I'm at the Birmingham gig on Sunday. Been checking out the reviews and pics of those that have been already and it's going to be a corker.
