Didn't you find it a bit far from the action?

Saw them last Saturday in Glasgow. I wasn't convinced about the set-list beforehand, but it worked really well on the night - Moving Pictures was just tremendous, even the weaker songs from the album were excellent on the night. Probably enjoyed the 2nd half more, although you can't top opening with Spirit of Radio (Minor nitpick: Thought it was a shame they didn't sync it with the video like they did with 'Lil' Rush' / Tom Sawyer). Really enjoyed La Villa Strangiato (had forgotten they were playing it, so it came as a nice surprise). Was mightily confused by the 'Rash' t-shirts for sale before the show, but it'll make sense once you see the opening vid.

If only they had played the first side of Hemispheres, Xanadu and Different Strings. Oh well.

PS. Didn't think very much of the 2 new tracks, especially the 2nd one, seemed a bit overblown, although I had a listen on YouTube later and not so bad.

Ears still ringing from last nights concert. WOW! What a fantastic performance. Our seats were on Geddys side of the stage, a first for me, and we had a fantastic view of the stage. The sound and light effects are amazing. Crowd were very enthusistic amd sang along to almost every note. The first set included some old favourites mixed in with the newer stuff. For the second set Moving Pictures was brilliant, tracks from the album back-to-back with short movies between. Even Neil produced a few smiles for the camera and appeared to be enjoying himself. The end video was very odd and so if you are in a hurry to get away don't bother staying for the extra 5 minutes.

Moving Pictures and weaker songs?

Does not compute.

Geez, you would think the dude would make an effort after the millions he's has been raking in. How about a nice suit?

How was the sound? Last time I saw them the mix was a touch shrill.

The sound was perfect, can not fault it at all. The only slight disappointment is Geddys voice is not as strong as it was. Witch Hunt from Moving Pictures was perhaps the weakest of the albums tracks. Didn't know Vital Signs was a rave tune!. Some of the stuff from the next (unreleased) album will take some getting used to.

I have mixed feelings when bands throw in recent stuff that I am not so familiar with. Good dilemma to have though, to have so much 'classic' material that you could play four hours without running short...

I found myself wishing Waters would throw in some other tunes the last week. On balance, I would say the In The Flesh tour hit more sweet spots.

Hey, every song is a potential rave tune when you are in a hurry. :)
