Alright, I know, I should go buy some vernier calipers and not post stupid threads, but you might save me a tenner...

Anyone know what size seatpost my GT RTS frame (7005 front/steel rear frame) should be running

And as its an old GT, I assume seat clamp & front mech are 31.8mm s???

it will be either 26.8 or 27mm

front mechs, are 31.8, and so is the seatclamp

My RTS has 26.8, and is a 1996

My american made RTS is 27.0 (1994) and the taiwan one is 26.8 (1997) - both have alloy rear ends

RTS-3, so Taiwan made, I seem to remember it being the first model run of -3. '92?? Steel rear. Anyhow 26.8 mm diameter post here.
