I've got some Mozo Pro forks which i believe are 100mm travel. Can I easily shorten the travel to say 60-65mm. I'd like to put them on a Merlin Malt3 frame but they appear to be a bit long, making the bike look like a chopper :D All assistance greatfully recieved. Ta.

what's the spring stack like? if it's modular, made up of elastomers, you could just take one out. of course this would mean the fork would top out hard whenever you lifted the front, but maybe someone clever knows a way round this?

As far as i can rememeber they are a stack of 4 elastometers in each leg. It's a doddle to take apart and try with 3 in each side. But as cce says you'll have to watch for top out.

I always thought the Mozo Pros were 80mm travel anyway, unless it was converted to speedspring like mine then it would be 100mm.

if you use the elastomer you take out as an extra top out stop it would be fine.

Mozo Pro has two versions: 3,5 and 4,5 inch of travel
You can change travel quite easly Unfortunetly my english is not so good so I can't explain it by words - I'll try to make some picture and You'll see an idea of this operation

iirc in the Mozos I've got there is a spacer thingie in each leg......unscrew it, turn it around and screw it back and the travel is changed from X to Y :D

OK I'll try I hope You'll understand it (my english is not so well...)

All You have to do is change position of elastomers
For example - If in one leg is 4 elastomers You should take one of them down the bumper
If I remember well one elastomer is about 1,5 inch of travel down, so travel change from 100mm to ~~~63mm
Please look to this picture, maybe it'll help You understand what I mean...
