I tried telling the seller but he(?) insists it says 501. Despite all - I think - 501 decals have horizontal numbers I. E. not sloping. Shan't bother anymore. I think it's been over restored anyway.

That drivelling description is typical of the AI decscription that Ebay kicks out if you select to use "Ebay AI Description".
People who can't be bothered to write in their own words or who know nothing about what they are selling usually use it.
