anyone tried these? is this just bio-pace re-invented?
Using Athena carbon on the posh bike but they're 53/39 and I need to get a compact for Dartmoor classic, so thought the Rotors could be an option... :?

They work for Wiggins.

Different to Bio-pace as I think you can rotate the fixing position using holes all round the BCD diameter to suit your pedalling style.

Not very Retro though......................

Colleague I was working with today has just put these on his Cervelo......says they add 4% efficiency to each crank cycle.

Q Rotor I think he called them.

Plans to do the haute thing from Geneva to Nice with them in August. Straws and clutching spring to mind LOL

Shaun

the older you get there more straw clutching becomes appealing!
bit like n+1...

when you run out of bike storage the compunction is to revert to bolt on goodies. .. sad but sooooo true :)

Remember them?

I've got some. Can't tell the difference between them and conventional.

Probably because there isn't any........................

It was all marketing hype.

Rotor

Thats strange, I had a set on one cross bike and normal cranks on another identical bike and the one with the L cranks was easier to ride off road !!!
But had to take them off as was sponsored by another company..

The true eliptical chainrings could be fitted to track bikes (Durham I think they were called)......... Now they were wierd LOL

Regarding oval chainrings, Try Highpath Engineering in mid wales they make various types and Chris is very knowledgeable about them, he also does various sprockets for making up your own cassettes and converting 8 to 9 speed and viceversa...
