Rossignoli columbus max?

A friend sells his columbus max Rossignoli for 350 euros (frame/fork/hs). It is repainted with new decals (the original paint was white/red) and, the most important, at my size.
Is it a good choise? Did Rossignoli made race frames back in the '90s?

Sorry just asking info about different frames but I am trying to spend my money wisely. Thanks again.

MAX tubing at that price (if it doens't have any dents in it) is always a good investment. Check the inside of the frame for any rust rust carefully, although I don't expect this frame to have to much rust judging by the quality of the chrome.
