Whatever you do, DON'T use a cog hog or rollamajig like that on the brake.
They' re not built to take the loading from the brake cable, only light loading from gear cables. Just when you need it most the thin aluminium can buckle and the pulley wheel comes out. The decent old aluminium Rollamajig might be able to cope, but a Crud Cog Hog or plastic Rollamajig can fold up.
ONLY use the ones specifically designed for brake use. Danger of death... As they say
