Rocky Mountain Vertex steel 1992

I would say an 80mm fork would be the maximum if you want to able to achieve reasonably sharp steering. To do that, with an a-c (net of sag) of c435mm, or 45mm greater than the designer provided for, you would need to reduce the stem length to c80mm.

That would obviously have an effect on how the bike would fit you. If it would make the bike shorter than you need, your best plan would be to stick to shorter forks.

But to answer your question it'll be a 71 head and 73 seat angle
I couldn't accept that when I first read it so I dug out my old catalogs, and sheeesh, you're right, it is 71. :o
My first break through ride was a '86 Ritchey Equipe w/68/73 angles.
I think I'll throw in a 1% angle set so when I run a 120mm fork at 100mm it doesn't raise the bb too freaky much.
So that should work out just about right........... :D
