Is there any on line sources to confirm that the yellow one may be 1994 ? Si

Glad I could help a little...

I've not found a 1994 catalogue, been looking for a while

Maybe some of our American/Canadian buddies can shed some light on this?

Let me know if you find a '94 cat in PDF format please

Will do fella, but it looks to be fair that it may be a 1994.. because on the 1995 one the shock had changed, so I assume they changed it in 1994 :? was this bike any good do you know.. any reviews ?

Si

Dunno about '94 but the '95 was mainly XT with LX hubs so a 'mid/getting into high' spec kind of bike. Parts were good..

Cant say I've ever looked for reviews, sorry.

I had to do a double-take before realising there was another frame in this picture!

Didnt Dave "Pee Wee" Hemming ride one of them?

I seem to remember to remember a photo of him on one, doing that gormless open mouth thing of his!

Pretty sure these were designed only for Magura hydraulic rim brakes, not canti's or V's.

Have a set of HS22's for sale if you want to build it up. If not and you are looking to sell I may be interested in doing it myself.

if they were designed only for magura's - what does that mean now, can you fit 'normal' brakes? whats the diameter of the studs? are the studs removable? are they just missing the three tension spring holes???

eh?

I would have thought that if they were specifically designed for Magura hydraulic brakes that they would have used the four bolt system like you see on most trials bikes that use HS33's, but they didn't.

Like these, but aluminium "braze-ons" not steel -

They just seem like normal cantilever mountings to me - I'm open to being proved wrong of course. If they were HS33 specific frames presumably they wouldn't have any brake cable stops either - only hose guides?
