Seems odd that you guys that are taller than me are ridding smaller frames and having standover probs? I am also running a much shorter stem than anyone-everyone else??

My standover is ok (16.5" and 5'8") but I like small frames. May be it's down to fork lengths and amount of rear travel a little bit to. I didn't try 3.5" of travel for very long before putting it up to 4.5" and it's been there since. Also the Fox forks were too soft for me (13.5 stone), so instead of servicing them and changing the springs I went for the longer travel RS Revelations.

my preference would be to have more clearance than less between the top tube and my "nether region". comparing the Cirrus and ETSX, the ETSX has a higher BB so i think raises the overall standover height to a noticeably less "comfortable" height compared to my Cirrus.

Also the top tube is shorter on the ETSX as modern bikes have more "upright" riding position compared to the "stretched out" position I'm use to on my retro Cirrus. However, that being said, I think the stems on both bikes are the same length.
