Rocky Mountain Equipe - $180 What year?

I'll be interested to know what you make of it if you buy it (and how could you not at that price?)

In later years, the Equipe occupied a slot in the RM range for a mid-weight, strong bike, below the Blizzard and heavier if anything than a Blizzard (which itself was never a race-oriented bike). But in 1992, the Equipe (as you would expect given its name) was a race-oriented frame built from Tange Ultimate Superlight and Concept. As such, I guess it must have been the second-lightest steel frame in the range, behind the Altitude. Whereas the Blizzard that year was made all from Concept, i.e., a slightly heavier/cheaper tubeset.

Just looked at the bike.
ARGH!!! Even at $180 it is hard to justify to myself let alone the wife.:)
Were these made in Canada or overseas?
It looks nice. The lady bought it new and it looks it. A little surface rust on the post, stem and quick releases and other bolts. A couple of places the paint has been scraped but nothing major.
The only thing is that she had it in Hawaii for about 4 years so.....is there rust inside? I pulled the post and the seat tube looked fine.
Anyways, I may have to skip this one but if someone else wants it I would be happy to collect it and ship it. I have until 3pm PST to let her know.
Cheers

It looks pretty cool, really nice colour :D

do I sound like a woman if I say I like the colour?

It would be the Vertex that would site between the Equipe and the Altitude in the range (RACE). Though made from Concept tubing as well. Though knowing RM and there specing, that probably doesn't mean anything

What size is this frame btw 18.5" or 20" ?

I know what I'm talking about - currently restoring one (also from 92 and the colour is really great)
