Rocky Mountain and Race Face

I read something recently (in a '93 MBA) that indicated Race Face was Rocky mountains component section, Is this true? I must admit to not knowing if it was.

Yes, I think that is the case. After a few years though, the divisions split and became separate companies.

Rocky and RaceFace shared space in their factory for the first few years, but I believe they were always seperate companies.

They certainly had some link - first time Raceface came to it was also fitted to Rockys. Never worked out whether it was an in house brand that seperated, or just some tie up.

Hmmmm...they were 'in bed' with Syncros for a long while and then switched to Race Face....didn't think they were linked as such.....other than both being Canadian.

Rocky's did have a ton of Syncros parts on them, but hey did slowly switch over to RaceFace as their component line expanded.

I loved the Vertex and Altitude from the mid 90's with Syncros stem/post, and RaceFace bars/cranks/headset. Not only were they great bikes, but a great value too.
