it still look much like when i received it last week i only swaped the cranks and the bar/stem, but i will need a more or less total make over...

features:
Rocky mountain 1997 altitude frame (tange prestige)
XC sid forks
Avid Archs

I might end selling the brakes off and put a set of avid ultimate on, i like the avid arch supreme but i have a set on my parkpre..

i imagen the build will consist off:
2x8 whit a moden sram x9 shifter and gribshifters (to moden?)
Avid ultimates
Syncros ti post (as cataloged)
titec stem and ti bar
wcs hubs to ceramic rims
maybe a rigid carbon fork(?)

If you fancy moving on the Salsa stem I'd be keen. Assume its a 1"?

plus... you'd be better off with a Sycnros on there as its a Canadian build ;)

You're a lucky man. That's a beautiful steel bike there. Have to agree on the Canadian parts, it's almost the law :)

Gorgeous but have to agree, Syncros is a must and for that frame I believe Race Face cranks are also a must. (Plus the Syncros and RF are pretty nice bling)

Looking forward to yet another RM build with some pics. :D

I have striped the frame for parts for selling it but i changed my mind, i will rebuild it whit "moden" parts when the spring comes;
Rigid Pace forks, XTR M960 wheels and mechs, X9 gribshifters (3x8), avid arch brakes, syncros kit..
