Used to think rockshox were the bees knees but am liking fox rlc forks a lot in terms of smoothness.

Re:

which ones have you got?

tbh I can't feel much difference in smoothness between the Fox forks I had, and the Rockshox I now have, both feel equally plush (both being air sprung).
But both are smoother than the Suntour Raidon's I had inbetween, although they were not too shabby either.

Suspension has moved on light years since the days of RS Mag21's and Pace RC-35's!!

Don't fox forks have something like a 10 hour service interval? Also I know you can service rockshox at home in about an hour they are so simple.

Normal wiper seal service is as easy on Fox as it is on Rock Shox.

For everything else... Rockshox for the home mechanic. Fox for the discerning expert.

Rockshox rear dampers don't have to go back to Rock Shox for full service. Fox ones do..... And my shop is just about to be Fox Service Centre authorised btw... and their dampers still have to back to the importer for gas chamber work. Rock Shox dampers are very faffy to work on though, with lots of small parts to lose under the bench... so swings and roundbouts really.

Pls dont take this seriously, i was taking the mick out the sram v shimano thread. In fact, mods can delete this.
