I search a 1994 RockShox mag21 sl ti Brake Brace

and a titanium kit

The brace is the same as a normal Mag21, it's just painted silver.

It's not, it is made of magnesium (apparently) and is not the normal aluminium. This reduces the weight but makes them rather flexy ;)

Magnesium Brace + Alu Steerer = SL
Above + Ti bolts & studs = SL/Ti

ah i see. The guru comes up trumps again. I'll have to get the scales out some time and see what the weight difference is, it'll be proper weight weenie stuff

Well straying of his wanted add (though it keeps it bumped which cannot be a good thing)
Magnesium is 2/3 the density of Aluminium
... though we are talking alloys here and I have no idea what the Magnesium alloy used is.

Guru, well not really. I just remember them (as I had two pairs, MAG20 & my current '94 MAG21, back in the day) and used them for a-level practicals, so know about pressures and oils, and they are the only suspension forks I knew . So when I came to this site to look for things I quickly set about finding out more about them. I hadn't realised how much the internals had changed from year to year to make them better.
