It may be a mark of the way the Judy took the mtb world by storm in 1995 that the original buyer of your Kilauea had the Marzocchi XCR replaced with this Judy, perhaps even before it left the showroom? Kona got the message because they dropped Marzocchi for 1996 and fitted Judys.
