I've tried searching but can't seem to find anything on here. I have a set of Mag 10's that need servicing, possibly even rebuilding. I have never owned a pair before so please assume you are talking to a small child if you have any advice or can point me in the right direction.
They are at present still in one piece, in good cosmetic condition but there is no resistance whatsoever and they just bottom out. Is it even worth doing?

post a picture. look in the archive and search the forum under mag21.

any question just ask. I can rebuild the air valves for you. oil can be changed. oil seals can be bought at a price.

Ok, I have some Mag 10's, excellent condition cosmetically. They were on a bike I bought so don't know the history but I do know that the bike was in storage for several years (10 ish) before I bought it. They have fresh grease around the top of the lowers, they sound like they have oil in which doesn't seem to be leaking. They are very easy to compress and don't rebound fully and there is a clicking noise when they bottom out. What are the chances they just need pumping up? I know nothing about these forks as I always rode rigid bitd. Obviously I'll need to get a pump which I'm happy to do but don't want to go into the realms of a full service as I don't even plan to use them any time soon and they may even end up for sale on here.
Any advice appreciated.

try the air route first
you'll need one of those needle attachments (for blowing up a foot ball )

40 psi is all you need

Don't need a special pump then?

Nope, just a needle adaptor and any pump with a pressure-gauge.
