Rock-Lobster £20 BIN

Theres so much assuming the worst on here thesedays.

I sold a manitou hardtail frame on to a fellow member for something like £15, admitably it had the almost standard issue head tube crack. But if I had offered it on ebay for the same price would I have been flagged up as a probable thief?

Hell I also gave a Xbox 360 away by spaffing a message to every one on my phone book, "first to respond gets my 360" theres nowt wrong with offering stuff cheap/free.

Take what you want from life. If you want top dollar, be prepared to hold out for it. If you want something out of your way karma it. Or go for anywhere on the scale between those 2 points.

yeah,man...not stolen.good ebayer. but was it a titanium frame....anyone? i tried to get him to post but didnt get back to me in time

...actually,if it was titanium...DONT tell me

bit of a difference between a broken manitou and a custom built paul sadoff special.
or maybe not?

maybe someone has lost one?

Doesnt look ti to me, welds look to chunky, to be honest I had this down as one of the far east rock lobsters done for merlin.

I may well be wrong, but I dont think its a custom Sadoff one.

This looks like a Merlin Rock Lobster Expert AL. Sold around 1998 for £199, made of 7005. It had an anodised finish in ti colour, so I guess they'll be flattered if anybody thinks it might be a ti frame. But surely if it was ti, it wouldn't have a replaceable derailleur hanger?

Quite a good frame, I'd say worth £40-50, or £30 as he wouldn't post it, so £20 wasn't that generous IMO.
