You know when things sound too good to be true?

After arranging collection of the Roberts (and at one point I was going to make a 250 mile round trip!) I'm told, only after following up with lots of e-mails and phone calls, that someone else has now offered £200 and the seller is going with that instead.

Could be a way of trying to get more money out of me or could be genuine but either way not very impressed - whatever happened to 'word is bond'? Sellers perogative I guess but pretty lame, to coin a phrase.
