Got a message back and claims it has been sold.

No doubt we will see it (or bits of it) again.

Hmm, interesting that the Roberts is no longer on the original Gumtree ad but it remained up for 3 days after I agreed to buy it.

I'm guessing the conversation went like this:

"Hi, I'm interested in the Roberts"

"Sorry, it's already sold"

"But I really want it, how about I offer you more than you asked?"

"Ok, how much?"

"£200"

"Done"

Poor form in my book, even more so given that I didn't have the opportunity to match the offer (which I wouldn't have done out of bloody minded principle).

Oh well, no point in crying over spilt bikes, hope for the buyer that the stuck seatpost comes out easily enough :twisted:
