Hello again, when I saw this badly listed on eBay about a month ago I jumped on the 'buy it now' button without so much as establishing the size (or exact model) - luckily it fits! I'm guessing at an 18" frame.
It's a bit dark now to inspect this properly, but I'll pop more details up over the weekend.
Really pleased to have a Roberts, and although it's not a Dogs, it'll do for now.
I'm going to need some guidance from those in the know on here, and although I thought this would be a rider straight away, there are a few bits which do need sorting out or changing. I can't find many details on the Genesis from a search of the site, but this seems to have a DX groupset but with XT thumbies, exage HB-M451 hubs on egg-shaped fir rims (I'll upgrade the wheels), a replacement bar and stem (the latter an Orange SK8 drilled(!) to act as a canti stop in the older fashion) and the tattiest saddle I've seen for a long time (lycra covered turbo?).
So a 1" quill stem with canti hanger is required (any suggestions as to what might have come on this originally?). Seatpost to match stem. Saddle and wheels I can cannibalise from my 'stock'.
Downside is a small toptube ding, as typically happens from the bars/brake lever. Upside is a (I guess) 531 / OR fillet brazed UK frame!
I'm hoping this will make the Retrobike Purbecks Xmas ride on the 15th.
