that's a long running race the Drummond Cup, I'm sure it used to be an APR (Australian Pursuit Race) where the juniors and 3rd cats, then 2nd cat's then 1st cat's went out separately providing a bit of a handicap. cracking fast finish downhill across the Avon river then onto a sapping climb to the line, I still do a wee half hearted sprint to the line which used to be marked on the road. they also used host a short TT on the circuit. might go up and watch if I'm about

The new Cyclist magazine has a rather splendid Skye loop in it, not for the fairnt hearted 170km's and nigh on 3000m of climbing. I was half thinking of heading up on a Friday night and tackling it on a Saturday. Of course I appreciate the distance will be limiting to some but thats not to say that other groups could form a shorter ride. Any interest?

Definitely go for it K!

Can't make it myself (not that my spine would have coped with that distance anyway) - off up to Inverness on Friday and daughter's 18th party on Saturday... Christ , now I feel old.
