I wore Atala shoes when I raced, they had a stylised "A" on them. Those shoes have stripes, maybe not a good corporate image lol

Most pro contracts allowed for riders to wear whichever shoes they found most comfortable - nothing to do with a bit of extra sponsorship, oh no 😉 . Looks like Freuler, being German, used Addidas. Mind you, looks like the other rider is wearing Puma. Both companies were formed in 1949 when the Dassler brothers who ran Gebruder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Lit: Dassler Bros. Shoe Factory) had a falling out and went their separate ways - though not that separate as they both still made shoes.

Urs Freuler, what a mighty tash!
Interesting extended headtube on his machine there.

I prefer the full stripe 'bank robber' kit Atala used, a striking look.

The kit, the tash, the bike with double discs... The beautiful Ofmega crankset.. what's not to like?!
