Thanks Sisyphus, I'm not sure when it was made but I would guess at early 1960's as that was probably when my Dad bought it. It has sat in the loft for at least 15 years as he became too ill to ride it. I think the rest of the family thought it had been thrown away but there it was in a sorry old state lurking beneath the cobwebs.
The Old Fella had tried to make it easier for himself to ride by putting a bigger saddle on it and flat bars and other weird ideas. Luckily he very rarely threw anything away and had kept all the original bits. There was even the original mudguards but sadly the plastic had perished too much to be of any use.
It's quite a heavy bike with only 5 speeds but it is very nice to ride.

I was talking to my father in law about it not long ago and he was telling me that he used to have a Harry Quinn in the 60's-70's. Hand built to order with all mod-cons. I'll ask him if he has any old photos of it.

Thanks - I've got a similar one and have no idea when it was made . Mine is 5 speed too but really light for some reason. Being in the attic probably saved it - dry & away from the elements.
That brooks swallow saddle - looks great - shows good taste!( same as the one on mine !!).

Re:

There it is. To be honest I know very little about pushbikes and especially vintage so would be grateful for any info about the bike and the bits on it.

Re:

I mean some of the parts are engraved really nicely i.e. the gear changer is engraved campagnolo. It looks really good. My camera wont pick up the detail though to put on here.
