I have been looking for one of these in my size for ages. Too bad the first bid put it out of my price range. Bushpig has too many nice bikes.

I am selling my Mountain Klein right now to fill the coffers so to speak. It does not fit me and as much as i like looking at it I can't justify keeping a bike I can't ride. I blew most of my money on my 41 Elgin project and I may have an Excelsior lined up. Otherwise I would be on this one. The problem with these bikes is they cost a fortune to build up "Right".

what would be the period/quality correct group for this??

Frame of this vintage would be 130mm spacing on the rear so likely M730 6 speed Shimano XT top mount SIS with either round or Bio Pace crank. With other period parts along the lines of Araya 7X or RM-20 rims, Strong Seat Post, Turbo or Mundialita Saddle, 600EX head set.

really? are you referring to a period correct catalog spec'd build? If so, it's not that expensive when compared to other custom friends from the late 80's, early 90's.

Anyone know what size it is, ST and TT?
Thanks.

22.5 tt, CtC, 19 st CtT.

For the build, yea, either a Dura Ace Deerehead and Dura Ace mix or Dura Ace, 600EX and XT M730 would be perfect.

The way to do a nice period correct build is to find a donor bike, imo.
