Ritchey Ultra complete w/ black m730 - $650

That and I think that the pictures make the bike look cleaner at first glance then when you look at it. They owner has run through the middle and small rings and they are in rough shape. What is weird, to me, is that I bought a full Steve Potts CCR on ebay, a few months ago, for under $500. How could a Japanese built Ritchey be worth more!

The Potts I believe you are referring to on ebay, was one I posted on here, and looked to be in really poor shape with rust in several spots.

You took a chance with that one, and I'm glad it paid off. The Potts (silver and black) that just sold on ebay a couple weeks ago, is what Potts usually go for from what I've seen on ebay.

Now, for the patient, careful, and well connected buyer, (such as yourself), there's always better deals to be had.

I was also watching that Potts, and what kept me from bidding was the condition. I didn't want a project bike, for better or for worse, and figured someone more invested in the brand would bid it up anyway.

I think everyone figured it was in worse shape then it actually was. I will unveil it soon, but I invested in a new power coat and it looks great.

cool...good thing everyone thought that way, or you would not have had it for $500. Like I said, it looks like a risk that paid off, kudos...

do you use a local powder coater and do they bead blast/strip first?

I think the Ultra is still for sale. Blaine is about 2hrs N of Seattle or just S of the Canadian Border. Someone would really have to want it to make the drive from Seattle. Not much local clientel up there I suppose looking for upper end old bikes.

I seriously doubt that....I know someone that offered him a price above what he was showing and he never responded.
