Here it is with the forks,



So, having lacquered over the decals and oiled the inside of the frame, it's time to start putting this bike together.
I splashed out on an NOS XT headset, so fitted that



Along with the Ritchey Cliff Hanger canti guide, lucky eBay find but without a cable stop or thread. So, during a rummage through the small parts box, I found something suitable.



Nice snug fit too. Excellent!

Next will be the bottom bracket, but I need to do musical chainsets and the bb shuffle for that, so will get the one I need in the week. :roll:

For anyone interested, the frame weighed 1870g with the headset cups in ( forgot to weigh it before :facepalm: ) and the forks with crown race comes out at 775g

Just under 6lb for the frameset is pretty impressive and that XT headset looks immaculate so what's the chainset going to be this time unless the headset is a clue ..

Go easy on the Shimano though, nobody wants that stuff all over the place.
