Risse shock help

You could try and change the valves "insides" with those from an old tyre. Usually they are interchangeable. There is a special tool for unscrewing, but I have an old flat screwdriver for that purpose. A slit sawn into it to make space for that pin. Or try a different pump?

That shaft does look worn. You could try and polish it. Maybe you can squeeze some more life out of this dampener.

Unfortunately I had the same experience when wanting to get some help with the Risse shock on my AMP - lots of unanswered emails and unanswered phonecalls seems to be the norm for a company that was once famed for its customer service :-(

I bought it hoping i could do some sort of conversion to use on my RTS. Not sure polishing will help much.

A little time this evening to try an alternative shock pump resulted in getting air in, yay. Oddly though, this did absolutely​ nothing in terms of compression at all, still no resistance when pushing the piston in. Lots of squelching, and the rebound lever does perform its function as the resistance changes when pulling the piston out. Air pressure doesn't change at all when doing any of this with the pump attached. Unfortunately, when i remove the pump, all the air immediately comes out, so that's an issue. Action is very rough due to the scoring on the shaft, so whatever happens next, it will need replacing.
