RISER BARS ????

marin man

Old School Grand Master
I never liked these since some alloy ones snapped on me when jumping years ago  I am having another go ..........and they are great  My back ache has gone and my ride seems faster and also shaved 130 grams off my bike by getting rid of my bar ends :D
I bought some mega light carbon ones by fsa (I have already seen the snapped ones on another thread and I do not jump anymore so not to worried)I even think they look better :D Happy all round then

Got Monkey Lite low risers on my modern bike and think the position and sweep is great. Still like flats on my retro content though.

I agree with the flats on retro I will keep my titec ti's on my marin as I have had them from new and love them :D

Fine.....Till you mix them with barends

Then you deserve a kicking round the back of the bike sheds

Riser bars always put me in mind of Raleigh Grifters. :D

Also, surely if you have a flat bar higher up the stearer tube, your hands will be in a similar position. :?

Not quite as they sweep back a little bit  also if you have too many spacers you look like you are a noddy who bought their bike from hellfrauds
