I have ordered a torquoise one from improveparts this summer for my 1994 Marin Team FRS. Its really good! I can recommend you buying a repro!

The repros have become so good lately, its basically unnecessary to wait 9 months for an original to pop up somewhere 3.000 miles away and pay 230 bucks + shipping for it.

I have so many original sets of Holey skewers. BUT I told myself never to hunt for originals again. They have become insanely expensive for horrible conditions.

Even the last retro parts owner with a box full of shit in shitty conditions knows by now, that we all pay shit loads of money for the last crap in this retro MTB world and takes advantage of it

Yeah. That’s the one. With import taxes and postage the improved parts one becomes stupidly expensive too.

I’m not that bothered about it being repro. They are nice looking. As you say, could be ages if at all. No point delaying a build for a clamp.
