I'd just like to pipe up here, the early ones are the ones to look out for, better bearings and machining. The later ones didn't seem to stand up very well. I've got one on my Kona and it's been with me through many builds since I think it was 1997-ish, still running on the original bearings, it's been a fit and forget item. Awesome headset.

As recently as last year these could be picked up for a few quid I'm pretty sure (never gave them much attention in honesty).

Some people are just daft though - there's XC Pro headsets up on the bay with $200 BIN prices. What?

I think I'll just take that nice King over there for half the price thankyou very much...
