What size wheel are you after? For 700c, DRC's ST17s from Italy are a nice double-eyelet rim with a more "traditional" cross-section:

i was thinking something similar to those mavic champion mondial, simple, thin, silver, 700c
those drc's look good, i will keep them in mind though
