Well, I went there and it was pretty good. Two circuits - one novice, one advanced. Naturally, I turned up my nose at the novice one and headed straight off on the "advanced" circuit (3.1 miles).
Cheeky little uphill for starters, then a bit of road which was disheartening but it was over as soon as it started and back on to the track. There was some forestry work taking place so I think the nice wooded singletrack uphill was replaced by a gloopy grassy track. Frankly, this was a godsend as it was on;y just above freezing and all those roots were proper slippery.
Anyway, back into the woods at the half way point for some nice undulating dating track - bit more than single, but not enough for two
A lovely rooted, twisty decent, quick sharp uphill (the only unrideable bit - but could be conquered with a little perseverance and more traction), and gain a bit more height for the final descent.
Good enough for another lap? Bring it on.
The verdict? Great one to take the other half along if they're getting started (like mine). Not hard by any means, but great fun if you take it fast. Coffee shop on site with plenty of outside tables.
The downside: £1 to park, £1.50 Sunday / Bank Holidays. I had no change and rode with crossed fingers.
