Those Colnagos were dreamy .

Agreed, they are one of my favourite bikes for their looks.

I usually prefer simple, classic, understated paintjobs - rare in the pro bikes of the last 25+ years due to the necessity of advertising and sponsorship - but the Mapei Quick-Step Colnagos managed to look elegant even with the multi-colours and various graphics and names on the tubes. My favourite is the later ones with carbon tubes (I think the earlier were steel, happy to be corrected) and the Mapei tiles on the top-tube.

Very collectible now, I wonder how many of the team's frames survive?
