Looks like a very steep angled seat tube. Quite a nice frame with those forks and the vertical rear dropouts.

Where's the Turbo saddle then ?

Does anyone know anything about richmond bikes.....?

May have something to do with this shop estb. in 1979. Richmond Upon Thames. Possibly re-branded frames built by somebody else.

I ride past them twice a day, not sure they ever made bicycles, but I might ask.
They just went under new management and went to a complete refurbishment of the store.

Haven't stopped by yet, so could be a good reason :)

Let me know what they say! I picked this up in Feltham so not far away really..

Stopped by yesterday. The cashier didn't know much, but went inside asking a mechanic which had worked there for a much longer time.
I haven't spoken with him directly, but the cashier came back telling me they did indeed made their own frames before (or branded them, didn't get it, sorry). They also said they would love to see the bike!

So do stop there and show them.
I will actually show them the picture, so the mechanic can confirm it's indeed one of their frames (I didn't have the phone with me)
