RetroBikeShow York 2025

Let's not be negative...if you read the goings on at the Knavesmire, I think the committee have done a great job to keep it going. The people who attend a show are the one's who make it. Let's do all we can to make it a good one. I ride that area and would be happy to put dome routes together.

I’ll be there with some retro crap to show support again. It’s a bit further but what’s another 20-30 mins

Me and hopefully my boys ( brothers Grimm) will be attending.has the date changed as well ?
Yea 12 to 14th, moved earlier.

I would guess they couldn't have the normal weekend as they would be getting ready for Driffield Show (which is a Wednesday which is the main event for the area.)

No official thread yet so I guess I'll add to here.
I've contacted the NYMBO people to see if they can put anything on, I think they themselves have event at Swaledale/wensleydale that weekend, so hoping to get some contacts or info. They have done Howardian's before.

But if not, I can look to create a 'route' (with help) in an MBO style.
(Mountain Bike Orienteering).

If I was doing it, it would be using phones for maps and controls, rather than providing a paper map.
Then use phones for getting to the controls
MapRun style.

Edit to add.
So it would be an open course and either a set route or a didn't all the controls and make your own route to get the most points in as set time.

This can include retrobike routes, I mean Gravel bike routes. Nothing needs more then 1.95" tyres and rigid forks around there.

hmm, never been to this before, had a look at the website, much bigger event than i thought it was, looks like fun, and how much better value than the malverns!! i think it'd worth the nearly 5 hour drive!
