Retrobike Reality... please help

Hi Chaps,

I have not been a member for long, but I think its fair to say I have embraced the basic concept..

For me, its kind of... 'when the cool bikes were first out, I earned £2.00 an hour..'

I found this website and saw everyting I never used to be able to afford, cheaper than I remember and now I earn a (fairly) grown up wage.

I write this email with the following inventory:

Fisher AL-1 - in progress
'Dale v2000 - in the shed
Parkpre Pro - not sure what to do..
A crap load of 'dirty' parts

Had:

Klein Adroit - sold because it was too small (my first purchase after finding this wonderful site)

Question - where does it go from here??

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark,

Sell it all on the bay, (or here), and search for that one rare new project that will take time to make just right...but will be something you keep forever.

I've started and restarted my collection a couple times. Right now I'm in the process of reducing it...it's proving difficult to do, but perhaps that's only because I really went after what I wanted. Some for sentimental reasons, some for the challenge, etc...

Pro 825, Image or Elite?

You could always give it to me, as long as it is 19" of course

it's the 925 team currently on Ebay in blue.

I have found that I have been buying bikes for a while now and the more I buy and read the more I am learning actually what I like and don't like, so there will come a time when I can reduce my fleet to the perfect bike... one day

I couldn't agree more. I did reduce my collection down to 5 at one stage, but it's up to seven with another being built and three frames in boxes. God only knows how much other stuff I've got stashed away... I need to have a purge methinks, but I never get around to doing it.
