I'm planning on going the other way and fitting a DX groupo inc thumbies to my 2007 Clockwork frame.

here's my retro/modern parkpre. A mix of parts, but it works very well and is great to ride! No problem at all with compatibility.

I like the sound of a 2007 clockwork with DX - any pics?

Not yet. Got the frame and the DX gear but need some forks and brakes. Hope it won't be too long though so keep an eye out

Your retro/modern parkpre looks great. I like the idea of using a disc bake upfront where it is really needed, and saving weight on an XC bike by using v-brakes rear. Overall a good mix of components, none of which look out of place. If it rides as good as it looks, then happy days!
