Retro turntable

Interesting indeed. Not sure why Garrard 401s seem to fetch so much money these days. I worked in hospital radio about 30 years back, and we had three in the studio which were later replaced with Technics. When they closed the hospital, the Garrard's went in the skip.

All I have left is a Pioneer PL-12D and a Technics SL-1400mkII...

I rather stupidly sold these to fund a new kitchen - even the Pioneer sounded fantastic:

The Pioneer was the dogs in serious budget systems of the late 70s wasn't it?

I remember that little lot being jaw dropping circa '83 - '84 :D
