I bought some 1.95 farmer john's cousin for my marin team issue, but it seems that the rear one is too large for the frame...suppose this kind of frame is made for thinner tires or maybe I do not know how to put a wheel any more ???
Not so easy to find some 1.7 or 1.75 tires from this period...Is there somebody who can tell me which brand was doing some thin mtb tires in the 90's?

Have a look at "firstflight" shop in USA… JEff Archer sales somme old tires like timbuk, Tioga… What is nice, hey are amber wall !

Yes, I think it's the place where I bought the farmer john's cousin, but I will have a look, but I didn't remenber they have thinner than 1.95...Thanks anyway for your answer!

No, I remember know... I bought them on the mombat website...Don't really know if it's the same place...

1.95 are not wide tires but a standard reto width
This for your '89/90 bike... I forget teh year?

Smoke Lite marketed at 1.9" are actually thinner at about 1.7/1.8".

Don't know what Farmer John widths are (maybe measure the widest point to find out).

BikePro.com has a big list of the first half of the 90's tires on it site somewhere with width actual widths weights etc..

IRC GeoClaw Lite (think it was lite ?) is a tire I used to run (sidewalls can give up) and they are very light and narrow in use. Never seen them for sale though :(

Thank you!
Yes my bike is from 89/90...I will mesure the Farmer John. Yes I sometimes go to consult the bikepro website, and I already watch for the tires, but I don't find anything...
