Huntso started a fab thread that was right comical at times. I was thinking let's also have a positive one too. It don't matter if we all repeat ourselves. Let me start you off with...
Skinny steel tubing; mountain or road I don't think there's anything more elegant than a skinny bit of ironmongery.

Some bikes just look 'right' no matter what they're made from, its a bonus if it looks right with you on board.

Well thanks for that ,maybe the weather and current gloomy news influenced me, so let our glasses be half full now.

My boat is floated by a nice bit of well machined alloy whether its a stem, brake lever or crank.

The things that float my boat are those I couldn't afford BITD. All those years ridin' and racin' on a lo-rent GT when those around me were on US exotica. I made a mental list over those years of all the bikes I'd buy when I could afford it.

Slowly working my way through that list, though I had quite an imagination in my youth and I'm not sure I'll have the space for even a quarter of it

Doesn't stop me trying though. Particular taste for things with three triangles and anything old with a maple leaf

Ti, carbon, or anything light weight  Bike wise, anything really
i love mountain bikes of all types, i belive in a tool for a job.

[ All that is except shiity apollos and other really cheap bikes ]
