I bought the frame with rusted out chainstays, I cut off the rusted inch and sleeved some lesser but thicker steel in to restore the length and re silversoldered (55%). I had done a bit of research on 753 and found out it goes brittle if you overheat it. The sleeved part is about 1 cm so if it does fracture I have prefailure waring time but the solder ran easily in the dull red zone so I don't anticipate a problem. If problems occur I have some new chainstays that I will use.
It rides great to me who is someone who enjoys riding bike (i'm the wrong shape to be a proper cyclist) and i'm glad I have managed to save the frame.
