Retro levers compatible with Ultregra 6500 brakes..

I have a 90s Steel Chas Roberts Road bike with modern 9 speed combined levers and shifters.

I am keen to convert it back to downtube shifters, I have some 9 speed indexed down tube shifters to fit.

I need to change the brake levers to Retro Durace/Ultregra or similar but wanted to know if the brakes will have the correct pull as older levers ?

There's no difference in pull, so go for it

Mike, not quite so fast, the latest Shimano road stuff does pull a bit more cable and isn't compatible.
However that's after the 9-speed era, which as Mike says should be fine.
