Anyone in retro bike land have a 2008 Zaskar Re-issue?
(At least one lucky guy that won one I'm sure). If you've built one up lets see some pictures..photos...Mona Lisa's.

This one? Looks good except for that ugly zip tied fender.

yep thats it :D :D :D dont normally go mad for GTs but that is truly awesome

:D :D :D

I might have dreamed it but I think there was a Marin Team Titanium re-issue recently, would like to get my hands on one of them :D :D :D   :D

I'd go for all new. The frame has geometry for a modern fork so I'd go for a RS Reba or something + XTR kit and as many pimpy parts as you can find :D :D :D

Not keen on that at all, especially the brakes.

Its a nice modern hardtail frame with up to date geometry so why not just build it with all new parts.
I think the purple and judy yellow looks well out of place, just the bastard son of Zaskar.

There was and they are still available at various places in the UK as well. Best price I have seen is about 1200 quid, yet again though its a modern disc only frame.

When I get the spare funds thinking of getting a Ti frame built to the same size and angles as my old 98 M2 Stumpy.
Still the best fitting bike (for me) I have ever owned, but going to stay with brake pivots and disc mounts along with an 80mm fork like the original.
Suppose it wil be a M2 re-issue albeit with a few subtle changes

They built this re-issue frame with rear V-brake bosses too so I was planning to go the K.I.S.S route on my build for a cleaner look. There are also plenty of 80mm forks out there new and old that will work with the designed 440 axle to crown measurement which includes the lower stack height. Not to mention some great looking rigid corrected forks. So it's not really just an "up-to-date hardtail"...There are many options.
