Okay. Is it really to remove rust or to prevent for rust? I very well recall a thread on a German forum that told it is good to drill holes in sealed frames, so rust preventive material can be brought in :shock:
The frame is apparently a Sherpa. Last week I acquired a ProFRO...and of course as like with all my bikes, I will take the best measures possible. I will spray fluid oils (FluidFilm Liquid A) in areas not so well accesable and a tough grease (Mike Sander) that has to be heated up to 100 celsius in area that are very well accesable. Now I have a question. The Yeti frame is actually semi sealed. They are not sealed like Yo's are, as with Yo's only the seat tube is open. Even bottle mounts are closed. With the ProFRO the top tube can be entered through the headtube, the down tube through the bottle mounts, the mono chain stay through the BB housing and the little tube between the seat stays has a vey tiny hole. Now I am wondering whether the loop stays will be reached trough the mono chain stay section? Is there an opening between the mono section and the loops?
