Restoration of a Bob Weston

Wil71

Retro Newbie
Hi everyone,
Can anyone help in Identifying this frame and is it worth restoring.
The make on the Bob Weston and it has Reynolds 531c stickers on the frame and forks.
It came equipped with Cinelli stem and Giro d'Italia bars. The Shifters are 105 and the Drivetrain is Shimano Deore Biopace. It comes with a Campagnolo headset.

I am unable to remove the bottom bracket, not sure if it is English etc.

There are some numbers on the fork steerer but forgot to take some pictures.
The only mark I can see up to now is a EO mark on the underside which has been stamped inside a diamond shape.

Thought I would post a few pictures of my restoration of the Bob Weston bike.
Tried using the green Nitromors on it but didn't budge the paint, in the end I got a pot of screwfix is own no frills paint stripper. left it on the frame for 24 hours and it worked a treat.
The dropouts are marked Campagnolo and so was the steerer headset
Please feel free to comment and lend some tips or criticism, This is my first restoration and would be very interested to know what groupset, wheels would have been on the bike originally.

Re: Hello all, Frame ID if possible.

Hi, there are plenty of knowledgable people on here who im sure will be more than happy to help.

I would suggest changing the title though :)

Re: Hello all, Frame ID if possible.

I think a nice 80s Suntour groupset would look good and a bit different to the usual campaign or shimano builds.

Re:

I like the look of the frame and forks and was thinking of just clear coating it as is, anyone done this in the uk, if so, is there any tips or certain lacquer to use to help it withstand the British weather.
