Repro “Onza Porc” white tyres

(you never see that white dog poo anymore though, that's weird!?)

I think the white poo was due to the calcium from folks giving their dogs bones.

You don’t see it anymore because either..

A) dogs have become such outrageous snobs they will only eat ethical, hand reared, grass fed, locally sourced meat.

Or

B) we’re wise to the fact that bone shards can cause havoc with their digestive tract

😁

Yes it’s all about the looks with these, I never actually saw any being ridden BITD
weeellll ..... actually in the '90s I was using Porcs up front and Ground Control in the rear as a very grippy combination on wet, slick chalk on the South Downs, and when the white Porcs came out we did use them lots. They worked in the winter on chalk tracks, and not many tyres did then. I indeed made the mistake of having them on the front of a bike on a Alpine trip, and the increased temps made them terrifying. The side paddles simply bend in cornering, and as each bent, it sent you 1cm more off your line. Gulp. They didn't wear out that fast, no more than any other tyre, and they were often heavily discounted in LBS'. The many pairs I had went this way and that during the later 90's and I know at least one part worn went in the trash. It will be in landfill somewhere....
